In early 2025, Refuge Cities Network launched a hands-on candle-making workshop at one of our community centers, aiming to equip local and refugee women with creative skills that can lead to income-generating opportunities.

Led by experienced trainer Rania Al-Skafi, the workshop teaches participants how to create a variety of candles — from decorative pieces to scented ones — using affordable and accessible materials.

This initiative not only nurtures creativity and confidence but also helps women explore entrepreneurship by selling their handmade products in local markets and bazaars. We are proud to support women on their journey toward economic independence and self-reliance.
